if this doesn't make sense then it's about to get a whole lot trickier.
in math forms even looks more like this :
even function of x is f(-x) = f(x),
and
odd function of x is f(-x) = -f(x),
even function of x is f(-x) = f(x),
and
odd function of x is f(-x) = -f(x),
the reason that the mathematical version is the same as the less mathematical version waaay up there is because simply;
anything squared is always positive, for example 10^2 = 100 or -3^2 still equals a positive number, number 9.
so no matter what what ever one inputs as an input will always come out as a reflection ab out the Y-axis.
Now, we're over the Even, i will go over the Odd Functions
if u remember odd functions look like this f(-x) = -f(x)
this means that for every function put in to the function box-machine it will become a complete reflection about the origin this means that the one and only output for said input will be negative.
x= 1 will become -1 and f(x) will become -1 if it orininally was 1 in the first quadrant.
